David May graduated from Maryvale High School in 1983. During David’s athletic career at Maryvale, he was an absolute defensive force for the Varsity Football team.
David was a starter for the Maryvale Varsity Football team in 1982 and 1983. David would go on to earn numerous local and national awards for his playing dominance on some of the most successful teams in our school’s history. For the 1982 season, David was selected as a 1st Team All District and the All District Defensive Player of the Year. In 1983, David capped his Senior season by being named 1stTeam All District, 1st Team All Western New York and Topps All Star Game Defensive MVP.
Upon graduating from Maryvale High School, David continued his education and athletic career at the University at Buffalo. David attended UB and studied Environmental Sciences and was a 4 year member of the team from 1983 through 1986. During his illustrious career at UB, David earned All ECAC honors twice and was a 1986 Pizza Hut All American. David was also an incredibly successful bodybuilder during his collegiate and post-collegiate years earning the titles of Mr. Great Lakes in 1986 and Mr. Texas in 1991.
After attending the University at Buffalo in 1986, David would go on to become a securities stock broker in Dallas, Texas. David was named Rookie Broker of the Year by his employer in 1992 and was named Broker of the Year in 1993. In 1998, David became the founder and President of The Riverside Group, LLC. From 1998 to 2015 David, served as a co-founder and President of acquisitions for Transcoastal Corporation, a publically held E&P company. He also served as founder and managing partner of Trancoastal’s operating company CoreTerra Operating, LLC. and has over 28 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry from acquisitions to business development and capital funding. In 2017 David founded Swarm Resources, LLC a company that structures and funds drilling and production prospects through accredited corporations and individuals.
David currently resides in Dallas, TX with his wife Roseanne and their children, Derrick, Dylan and Alexa.
